At a meeting held at Takapau on Wednesday afternoon, it was decided to form a local branch, of the Women’s Institute. The following officers were elected: President, filrs AV. Jackson; lion, secretary, Mrs J. A. Norrie; cornmil tee, fitesdames G. Hodges, G. S. White, Falicy, N. M. Paulsen, fil. J. McKenna, W. T. Smith) and D. Vesty. Jt was decided to hold the institute “afternoons” on Friday, tlic stock sale day. •
