FEILDING GARDEN PARTY

MBS H. B. BUBBELL FABEWELLED Mrs H. B. Burrell, of Feilding, whose husband has joined the Government aviation service at Christchurch, was farewelled at a garden party held at Mrs A. Sugden’s residence yesterday afternoon. The gathering was jointly arranged by the Feilding branch of the Plunket Nurse society and a wide circle of lady friends of Mrs Burrell’s. The society felt that it could not allow Mrs Burrell, who was a member of the committee, to depart without recognising her services on behalf of the organisation, of which she was an exceedingly popular member. In many other directions, Mrs Burrell willingly gave her services and it was a happy idea to combine the functions. There Was a particularly large gathering present and the sincere good wishes of the assembly were appropriately conveyed to the guest, along with presentations which will always call to mind the guest’s home town.
