Tho utmost secrecy was preserved at to-day’s deliberations at the peace in industry conference. It is understood the employers’ delegates rejected the delegates’ demands, claiming that they were not authorised to deal with disputes in being, but to seek a basis of industrial relationship for the future between the employers and employees. The Labour delegates held a caucus and decided to await further instructions from the Labour Council, which is meeting in Sydney to-night. The conference then adjourned.
