MANAWATU WOMEN’S CLUB

This afternoon tlio members of the Maaawatu Women’s club will hold their first moeting of the year at C. and G’s. There will bo musical items contributed by visitors, and Mr. To Ari-Taua Pitama, will address the members, the subject being "The Forgotten Customs of the Maori.” The hostesses will bo Mrs. H. B. Free and Mrs. J. Mounsey. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Knight, of Longburn, intend making a tour of Auckland and Rotorua, in a few days time. A pleasant little function in the form ’ of a farewell afternoon tea to Mrs. L. F. de Berry, who leaves tomorrow for her future homo in Dunedin, took place at tho Rosco tearooms a few days ago. Mrs. do Berry, who was presented with a small token, will carry with her every good wish for her future happiness. . Miss J. Young was hostess.
