Several Palmerston North members of the League of Mothers were present yesterday afternoon at a garden partygiven by her Excellency, Lady Alice Forgusson at Government House, Wellington. *’ Her Excellency is a keen enthusiast in all branches of work where tho advancement of womanhood is concerned-. The. weather, was ideal for an outdoor function, and tho guests thoroughly enjoyed the floral beauty of the grounds and the cool shady walks. :A delicious afternoon tea was sorved.
