Sympathy will be extended by a wide circle of friends to Mr. W. Hebden, of Heretaunga street, in the death of his wife which occurred in a private hospital yesterday after a lengthy illness borne with fortitude. Deceased was the eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. H. Collingwood for many years Town Clerk of Palmerston North. She was born in Palmerston North 37 years ago and received her education at T«nac« Nad and High ißehofels. Two ydung daughters, Phyllis, aged 11, and Joyce ,agtd 8 years, isurvive her, Mrs. A. Kennedy (P.N.) land Mrs. K. MeKeniae (Turua, Waikato), are sisters, and Messrs. Norman (Wellington) and Harold Collingwood (Auckland) brothers.
