A cable from San Francisco to-day, stating that grave fears for the safety of tihe Spanish training Bhip Juan Sebastian Eleano was referred to the Spanish Vice-consulate in Melbourne. Sir Stephen Moicll, who replied, saw no cause for anxiety, since the barquentdne was only 27 days out from Suva and therefore could not bo expected at San Francisco under sail Three cadets wore loft behind at Suva instructions having been given by the master to send the men to San Fran* cisco by the next steamer. Sir Stephen Morell was of opinion that the master of the barquemtinc was not anxious to arrive too soon in 'Frisco beforo the boys. Juan Sebastian Eleano left Sydney early in January for Suva.
