TRAGEDY OF TWINS

DEATHS GREAT LOSS TO MEDICAL SCIENCE. Unitod Preys Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Friday, 7.0 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 17. The tragedy of the Smith twins is referred to by tho medical journal, The Lancet, which bears out statements that two promising lives wero cut short. “Their work seemed to bo of much promise and their contributions to the literature of radium therapy had already begun to attract attention. A book which they published in 1927 was useful, especially because it showed the necessity for collaboration between the surgeon and radiologist. There was reason to hope that increasing experience of radium would enable them to produce a valuable work.”
