Dr. Elizabeth Gunn recently visited tho school and examined the pupils. The Doctor put the whole of the school through and in tho case of those pupils whoso parents attended, gave them special attention. A considerable number of parents were present and they spent an attractive morning. Football. The senior game was fought out between Apiti and Hangiwahia and resulted in a win for Apiti 11—3. Four of the usual players for the local team were absent—two away on their honeymoon. The school boys played a team in the morning from Kimbolton. The result was a draw 3—3. Bob Cave scored for the home foam and Jack Stevens for tho visitors. The ladies had ja “sumptuous repast’’ (a Kimbolton laddie’s expression) prepared and the two teams had a good tuck in before going home.
