BASKET BALL
WEDNESDAY COMPETITION. The Wednesday competition conducted by tho Manawatu Basketball Association was commenced on Wednesday of this week under ideal conditions. Some very close games were witnessed, but in one or two cases tho winning teams were much superior to' their opponents. Results were as follow: —High School A. 18, beat P.D.O 6; High School B. 20, boat Convent C. 2; Y.M. Gymn. 7 beat C. and C. 5; Y. W. C. A. 15 beat Convent B. 9; Convent A 15 beat Convent D 3.
