Turn tho milk slowly <s> <s> into the dry ingredients, stirring <S> <®> constantly to,, avoid <s> <j> lumps, and cook ' the mixture <S> <*> over" hot water "about 15; min- <S> utes, until it' Is smooth anil <s> 4> thick and tho cornstarch is well <s> 4 done. Pour it onto tho beaten <S> <*> yolks of 2 eggs, cook a minute <s> <s> longer, then add tho juice of tho <S> <s> orange and i cupful of coarsely <s> <j> ; broken walnut or pecan meats, <i> <j> and stir well. When the custard <S> <j> is smooth again, pour it into a <S> <*> baked shell, add meringue made <i> <•> from the whites of the eggs, and <s> <j> brown in a moderate oven. Serve <t> 4> cold. •$> <S>
