300 DROWNED WHEN CHINESE VESSEL SINKS
(Sydney Sun Cable.) (Received Tuesday, 7.35 p.m.) SHANGHAI, Feb. 20. A Chiuese steamer collided on tho Yangtso Rziver with tho Japanese steamer Atsuba Maru. The former’s bows were stove in below the water-line and she quickly sank. Three hundred of the five hundred passengers were drowned.
