CARD TOURNEY AND DANCE. The first 500 card party and dance under the auspices of the Tokaro Bowling, Croquet, and Tennis Club, was held last evening, when there were over 100 couples assembled in the Anzac Club. Fifteen tables were occupied for the 500 card tournament, which resulted in a win for Mrs C. Usmar, Mrs Brown taking second place in the ladies’ games. The first prize in the men’s section went to Mr J. B. Morgan, while Mr R. Littlejohn was awarded second trophy. The tournament was under the supervision of Mr L. George, assisted by Mr W. H.' Ritchison. Mr H. Brown acted as M.C. for the dancing, the music being contributed by Larkin’s orchestra. The ladies’ committee, under the direction of Mesdames H. Trevor (dance secretary), and H. B. Free, supervised the distribution of supper.
