LONDON, January 22

The Autocycle Unlpn has settled the controversy arising from the recent tourist trophy races, in whieft competitors were permitted to use their own fuel, some employing secret alcohol mixtures resembling ; high explosives. It has been decided that In future competitors must use the ordinary forms of petrol that are Obtainable en route.

Manufacturers are gratified at the decision. They point out that "gingering” fuels encourage freakish designs of no practical value to the ordinary motor-cyclist.
