[From Our Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON, Last Night. “Shannon bridge is not in a good position and is likely to be swept away by flood.” That is the statement contained in a petition presented to Parliament and a large number of residents ask that the bridge which spans the Manawatu river between Shannon and Foxton. should re delve the attention of the House. , , Portion of the bridge was destroyed by flood waters in November last and the span has not been replaced.
