ACCIDENTS & FATALATIES.
SCHOOLGIRL THROWN FROM HORSE. Gladys Whitehead, aged 14. daughter, of Mr A. H. Whitehead, of 44 Pahiatua St., had an arm broken yesterday afternoon. The girl, a pupil Of Standard VI., mounted the back which she rides to school when the animal, becoming restive through its long, cold spell in tho paddock, reared and fell upon her. Her injuries were attended to and she was later removed to hospital, where she is progressing satisfactorily.
