HAWKE’S BAY SHOW.
DIAMOND JUBILEE . The Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society will celebrate its Diamond Juibleo on October 17 and 18, the Society having been established in ISG3, and attention is called to the schedule of dosses for the coming fixture, which has now been issued, and is available free of charge, to all interested. A great deal of trouble was taken In the revision of the Society’s schedule and a considerable number of new classes have been added throughout, and which includes sections for Corriedale and Ryeland sheep; additional classes In tho draught and saddle horse classes, also in the Jersey and fat cattle sections and pigs, a.nd needlework sections. In addition to the judging competitions In Romney sheep, Hereford cattle and dairy cows. a. competition has been added for boys and girls under twenty years of ago, and post cTifnea may be made in each of these competitions.. There are also classes in the
horse competitions open to maiden horses only. The prize list has also been largely added to, both In cash prizes and trophies, including a £IB 15/- cup for Shorthorn bull and female, two years or oyer, a £lO 10/ cup for most points open fat sheep and lamb section, two cups in the Jersey section and a gold medal for champion harness horse. In the draught horse section the prize money pioney is on a most liberal scale, in addition to which there are three cups and three gold medals to bo competed for. Entries will close October 3 and schedules may bo received direct from the secretary (Mr A. M. Retemeyer) P.O. Box 145, Napior or from kindred societies.
