SCHEME TO AVOID DELAY. At last night's meeting of the Borough Council, the director of the Toehnical School wrote, pointing out that, owing to the necessity for getting certificaled men qualified to do electrical work, and as the period of fi months elapses before the results of the London City and Guilds Institute examination are known, lie asked tho Council to. consider the following:—■ "That an electrician Board of Control bo set up on similar lines to that set up by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of conducting local examinations at the local Technical School." The writer also forwarded suggeslrd regulations, and' said he felt sure that the introduction of the scheme would materially assist the Council in providing efficient workmen to do local installations. On the motion of Councillor Oram, the communication was referred lo the Electrical Committee.
