The Council of the Coal Miners’ Federation has dgeided on the use ofdisciplining measures against members responsible for unauthorised strikes. Fines of £5 will be imposed for a first offgnee, and expulsion will be the sequel to a second offence. Lodges striking against instructions will be fined £1 per member, and expulsion will follow a second offgnee. The miners have decided to confine the dispute to the Maitland coalfields, and are levying on all mgmbcrs of the federation 15 per cent, of their wages, in anticipation of a prolonged struggle.-
