Advance copies of the British reply to Germany have been forwarded to Paris > Brussels, and Rome. The Note will be handed to the German Ambassador in London to-morrow for transmission to Berlin. It is stated the reply brushes aside, in unequivocal lan.. guage, Germany’s contention that her offer constitutes a basis of settlement, and expresses the hope that Berlin will made a more suitable offer. The suggestion that a, committee of experts should consider the offer is not agreed to in the British reply.
