DISTRICT NURSING GUILD.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The committee of the Palmerston North District Nursing - Guild met yesterday afternoon, the Mayor (Mr J. A. Nash, M.P.) presiding. Nurse McLean reported that 148 visits had been paid to twenty patients and much distress had been alleviated. Donations in kind were acknowledged from Mr B. C. Waldegrave (meat), Mesdames J. B. Johnston (butter), Wilton (milk and eggs), W. Coombs, P. Oakley Forrest and J. R. Wood (clothing). A monetary donation of £2 from Mrs Funsten was also acknowledged 10/- from the Rongotea Horticultural Society, and 5/- from Miss Bett, and an anonymous gift of benzine. The weighing machine at Mr Wood’s shop had yielded 16/5.
