AUCKLAND PICKPOCKET.
SENT TO GAOL. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Phillip McManus, for attempted theft from" the person, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. The accused was detected abstracting a wallet from the pocket of a petty officer of the Philomel during the running of a race at the trotting meeting at Alexandra Park on October 2Cth.
