The New Zealanl Competitions Society's thir i annual festival commences at Wellington on November 3. It bids fair to be the biggest thing of its kint ever i eld in JSew Zealand. Entries are being receiver from every corner of t e Dominion. As proof of the interest evincel in t e Festivals of this Society, fe indications are that next year the fatuous Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian C oir, Queensland —several times the champion choir of Australia—will be competing. Outside oompetit rs coming to Wellington to tafcJ part in t is great e-ucatiorl al movement receive holiday excursion rates on the railways. The prize list has been substantially increased: £l5O cash prizes and trophies have been allotted, including a £l3O Grand Onappell piano for the winner of V<.e champion piano solo. The books obtaining full particulars are obtainable from the secre'ary, Mr Jamen Dykes, Box 625, Wellington. Entries close on September 30. No doubt this district will ba well represented at New Zealand's National Eisteddfod.
