In the Supreme Court the jury returned a verdict of not guilty in the case in which A. S. McKenzie, 24, was accused of attempted rape on a. young woman of 22 years. The case in which Hortori, an elderly man, is charged with carnally knowing a girl of 12 years, is. being heard.
