Dr Findlay, the Attorney-General,, will distribute the prizes at the ( Wanganui Girls' High School on Thursday 12th inst, and will, on the following evening, perform a like function at the Palmers top North High School.
The engagement is announced of Mr Cyril Ward, eldest son of the Right Hon. Sir Joseph Ward, to Miss Davidson, only daughter of Mr J. H. Davidson, of Brisbane, niece of Mr Aloysius MacDoiiald of Wellington, and first cousin of Mrs Babington, wife of General Babington, tile late. Commandant of the New Zealand Forces.
Sir Joseph Ward returned south by the Rotoiti yesterday afternoon. Sir Joseph visited the Veterans' Home driving out in a motor car with Mr Alf. Kidd M.P. The veterans were briefly addressed by the Premier, who afterwards made a call at Government House.
