Per Presß Association. I Napikk, Wednesday. The second wool sale of the season held to-day, proved rmsfe successful. The ifivrings nggrrgatcd 6300 bik-s. Thero was a large attendance, and bidding was spirited throughout the morn. iDg sales. Prices showed an advance all round, with the exception of half-bred parcels, of from 10 to 15 per cent on the prices of last sab. Rougher and coarser breeds benefited most. Stocks, pieces and bellies showed a fartbing to a half-penny advance. There was a fair offering;. Lamb's wool tuaio from 5d to 7d for bright parcels. Little Merino was offering, and this sold up to 9d. Half-bred, good quality, made from 6.J-d to B£d. Coarse crossbreds. light condition, brought, up to 6d, and fair average quality od to s^). Dingy crossbreds made o^d ; crossbred bellies and pieces 3|d to 4£d ; fine crossbred pieces' s|d to 6|d. At the local wool sales to-day a catalogue of 6,300 bales was offere d. Prices were in (sympathy with the advacca in the local market, and ruled from 10 to 15 percent higher than last sale rates. Amongst the buyers were three representatives of continental firms. The advance was general in all classes, except fcr half-bred parcels, the rougher and coarser wools bonefitting most. Merino sold up to 9d, good quality halfbred up to B|d; coarse crossbreds in Jigt eonditioD, up to 6d; fair average quality up te 5Jd. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Prices ruled from par to ten per cent advances on the closing sales Of laat year. Received January 22, 12 32 a.m. At the wool sales 9665 bales were offered. There was a good selection of medium and inferior wools offered, and there was a good attendance, including many Americans, and spirited competition compared with the closing sa'es in the December series. Merinos were unchanged; merino lambs advanced 5 per cent; fine crossbreds advanced 5 per cent; medium 10 per cent; and lambs 10 per cent. Sydney, Weduesday. At the wool sales competition in all good classes was very keen. Prices were firm. Scoured sold to 2s Id, a record for the season.
