Mr Garew, S M., to-day declined to cancel ihe old age pension in a ense in which the Deputy-Registrar put in a : number of convictions for drunkenness, as no ci nvietion had been recorded since last renewal. In a case in which a mistake had been made as to the property of an applicant, the Magistrate reduced the pension by £2 per year and ordered a refund of the amount overpaid.
