TERRACE END BOWLERS

’The annual mooting of tho Terrace End Bowling Club was held last night, when Mr A. J. Bradley presided. In the absence of the president (Mr A. Stewart). Mr J. M. Gordon, who moved the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, commented that although the latter showed a small deficit there was a considerable amount ill the accumulated fund and the year’s workings wore to the credit of the committee and all concerned. Mr 11. J. King said that this year’s balance-sheet was the best in tho chib’s history, as the cost of tho new green had been well above the excess of expenditure over receipts, 'flic auditor (Mr F. W. Liddell) gave members further elucidation and paid a tribute to the work of the treasurer (Mr E. Anderson). Tho election of officers resulted: Palron, Mr G. W. Mills; president, Mr W. R. Clienio; vice-presidents, Messrs Bradley, Gordon, and Stewart: committee, Messrs P. Childs, J. Davidson, C. A. Dixon, J. llauly, King, J. Lock, J. Reny; treasurer, Mr Anderson; green supervisor, Mr Rcay; assistant supervisor, Mr W. Howe; auditor, Mr Liddell: selection committee, Messrs Gordon, Childs and King; delegates to Manawatu Bowling Centre, Messrs Gordon, Dixon, and Anderson; club captain, Air Childs. On his election to the office of president, Mr Cherrio said that members had a great, chance to develop the club and lie asked them tb work together to keep it in a healthy financial position. If this were done, in about two years alterations could bo carried cut to the pavilion. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of Messrs W. F. Ross and .1.
