Al-Sirat will have his first race of tho season in the Wanganui Guineas, in which ho will probably be ridden by W. J. Broughton. He has wintered very well.

Tara King is working in splendid style at Trcntham and will start off the new season with a race at Wanganui.

That good mare Macedoine is to resume racing at the Wanganui _ fixture. She is carrying plenty of condition. Master Robin has done only routine work since'the Grand National meeting and it is probable that bis first classic engagement will bo in the Avondale Guineas. Typhoon has done so well that he may be raced in tho open sprint on the second day of the Wanganui meeting, with a further outing at the Foxton races at Awapuni. Ho is booked to leave for Melbourne in the last week of September. The gymkhana which is being hold at tho Foxton racecourse tomorrow to raise funds for the physical welfare of tho youth of the district is worthy of every support. Tho programme is a comprehensive one and likely to provide a good deal of entertainment.
