CUT OF 50 PER CENT.

DAYS OF RACING

(Special.) WELLINGTON, Mar. 25. The Government has imposed a. cut of 50 per cent, in the number .of totalisator days for racing and trotting meetings. This will take

effect after Easter Monday. In relation to the remainder of the current racing season ending on July 31 next, after providing for the recent curtailment of 60 racing and 20 trotting days over the whole of the season, the balance oi the days for each sport will be halved.
