MANAWATU SHOW.
CO-OPERATION WITH HAWKE’S RAY SUGGESTED. HASTINGS, Aug. 1. In view of the possibility of the Alanawatu and West Coast A. and P. Association being unable to hold its Spring Show this year because of the military authorities being in possession of the Showgrounds at Palmerston North, the possibility of securing greater support for the Hawke’s Bay Show in October from West Coast exhibitors was briefly mentioned at a meeting of the committee of the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Society today. Jt was suggested by Air H. D. Cooper that it might be feasible to invite tlie Alanawatu association to combine with Hawke’s Bay, but it was felt that there might be complications if that course were adopted. On the suggestion of the secretary (Air A. AI. lletcmeyer) it was decided to invite the Alanawatu association to co-operate with Hawke's Bay in the event of Alanawatu being unable to hold its show. Air lletcmeyer said that if that were done so as to keep breeders on the West Coast exhibiting he thought they would he assisting Alanawatu in a most desired way.
