THE R.S.A.

PROPOSED CHANGE OF NAME. A circular from Dominion headquarters of the Returned Soldiers’ Association regarding tlie proposed change of the name to either the Returned Servicemen’s Association or the Returned Services Association came up for discussion at a meeting of the executive of tlie Palmerston North R.S.A. last evening. It was decided to support the Dominion executive’s suggestion that the name be Returned Services Association. The new name will embrace all tho services—Army, Navy, Air Force and nurses—not just the Army as was thought by many persons before. It will still have tlie well-known “R.S.A.” abbreviation, as before. It was stated by the secretary of the branch (Air AY. G. Rutherford) this morning that even if complete unanimity is obtained in regard to the proposed change it cannot take effect until after the next Dominion conference.
