Two youths, aged 17 and 35, broke away from a police escort at the Dunedin railway station last night while 3>eing taken from the North Island to the Borstal Institution at Invercargill, and were still at large to-day. It was discovered this morning that a truck had been removed from a coal company’s yard. It is thought it was commandeered by the escapees.— Press Association.
