ITALIANS IN AFRICA
NOT GIVING TROUBLE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 1. There are still 125,000 Italians at large in tho occupied territories of East Africa, 45,000 being in Asmara, but generally this community lias caused no trouble, says a Times correspondent. The British havo handled the situation with great tact. The Italians at Asmara include almost the whole of the administrative staff and they have behaved in a most correct manner, believing this is the best way to preserve Italian prestige among the natives. The attitude of the Italians is generally friendly towards the British. They have accepted tho situation philosophically, showing gratitude for the nnoppressive British administration. The British troops are mixing socially with the Italians, and several football and boxing contests have been organised.
