GIFT EVENING
. On Saturday at the home of Air and \Alvs C. C. Aifken, Marne Street, Alisa Deiiorc Brown was the guest of honour at a gift evening in view of her approaching marriage. A happy time was spent in community singing, elocutionary items by Miss Zoo Rabonc, song duets by Alesdames A. Trascr and D. Aiacalistcr, and games and competitions, the winners for these being- Mesdames \V. Child, D. Rabonc, AV. C’uttcn and A. Voting, and Alisses AT. Child, At. Alaoalister, and L. Brown. Are-srs AA . Brown, B. Child, 11. Johnson, C. Page and D. Aiacalistcr. After a buffet supper had been served The bride-to-be was called upon to open the parcels, which contained beautiful and useful gifts-
