The weekly. A.N.A. Club dance was held at Miss Gwen Gibbs’s studio on Saturday night and was well patronised by members ot the Air Force, a number coming Irom Wcraroa. The hostesses were Airs M. C. On Saturday memhi rs of the Manawatu Auxiliary Service Corps gave practical help to residents in the flooded areas at Itokowliitu by taking a quantity of vegetables, gic.vvr on tlicir own plot, to a central point where those in need could help themselves to as much as they requited. The vegetables included 10 sacks ol carrots, and more were distributed yesterday.

Mrs Dale was born in Wellington in Tjss, her patents; Air and Alls George Green Buck, bung early pioneers, having arrived in 1542 Mr Dale is 87 years of age, and was born iri Condon in 1854. \\ itli his parents, Air and Airs William Dale, lie arrived at Lyttelton in 1856, in the ship Kgraont. Of Mr and Airs Dale’s family of seven sons, five are living. I here arc 14 grandchildren and cigliL great-grandchildren. Mr and Airs I'-. K. S. Dale attended the celebrations.
