MR S. A. KLATT.
There passed away after a short illness, at his home at Ohakea on July 26, Mr Samuel August Ivlatt, one of the best-known settlers in that district. Mr Klatt was of a quiet disposition and was devoted to his home and family. He was horn in Rongotea: wlure he went to school, and later proceeded to Sanson. He subsequently took up farming at Ohakea, in 1906, and had resided there ever since. Mr Klatt leaves a widow and a family of four —Mrs Williams and Mr Wilber Klatt (Ohakea), Mr Martin Klatt (Papakura) aiid Mr Cyril Klatt (Mercer). There are also three grandchildren.
The funeral took place on July 27 at the Rongotea cemetery, Rev. Te Punga officiating.
