HONEY AND APPLE BREAD. Mix 1 cup unsweetened apple sauce (thick), i teaspoon ground cinnamon, J cup melted butter or margarine, cup each brown sugar and honey. Sift 2 clips plain flour, 1 teasooon nutmeg, i teaspoon each salt and ground cloves, add 1 cup seeded raisins, 5 cup chopped peanuts, the grated rind of j lemon; dissolve 1 teaspoon soda in 1 cup warm milk and add to mixture. Beat all well together for five minutes, then place in a square tin previously well greased and floured; hake in a slow oven for about one hour.
