SOLDIERS ENTERTAINED. A very pleasant gathering took place at the Business Girls’ Club on Saturday evening, when members of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union entertained members of the Maori Battalion at a dance. Mrs F. Cowing acted as hostess and items were given by Mesdames K. Jones and H. Conway, duets; Brown, songs; Spencer, recitations; and H. Linklater, pianoforte solos. Mrs Linklater accompanied the items and Mr F. Caple supplied the dance music.
