WRESTLING.
DOMINION SEASON OPENS. The New Zealand wrestling season opened last evening with contests at Wellington and Auckland. At Wellington Dick Paines and Joe Corbett drew with one fall each, Cor!>ett, who was making his New Zealand debut, proving a fast, vigorous and scientific wrestler. In fhe Auckland match, “Lofty” Blomfield, who is now a sergeant in the New Zealand Forces, beat the Bed Indian Chief Little Wolf by one fall to nil. Both are well-known to the New Zealand wrestling public.
