Nine Germans interned in Tanganyika at the outbreak of the war and now on parole liave signed a letter to the Governor denying the Nazi broadcast allegations that they wore ill-treated and even beaten while in camp and expressing appreciation of their treatment by the authorities. The Swedish freighter Formosa, with 1500 tons of copper and 3000 tons of lead, and the Norwegian ship Wyvern, with 1500 tons of rubber and zinc and 10(30 tons of scrap-iron, have left ports in Mexico, ostensibly for Japan, but it is believed that they are hound for Vladivostok, from where, their cargoes will bo railed to Germany.
