WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.
GROUP MEETING. The district group meeting of the Women’s Institutes wits held in the Ohakea Hall. Aire W. G. Robin son presided and the convener was Mrs Watts (Marten Junction). Mesdames Kyles and Ellery (Bulls) rendered items and a short talk was given by Airs Gregory (Marton Junction). Aire A. K. Drew (Sanson) gave an interesting add revs. The following were the competitions decided: Aladcira cake. Airs W. Pearce (Sanson) 1, A/rs Roberts (Sanson) 2. Miss EcrgiifiSon (Halcombc) 3; band-sewn nightdress, Ati-s Fergusson (Halcombc) 1, Alns Slight (Marton Junction) 2, Alls Franks 3; felt work, Mrs Watt (Atarton Junction) 1. Airs Humphrey (AJarton Junction) 2, Miss Osborne (Parcwantii) 3. A trading stall did brisk business. The Ohakea members acted as hostesses. —Ohakea correspondent.
