LOUISIANA ELECTION.
LONG ELEAIENT DEFEATED. Received Februarv 22. 5.5 a.m. NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 21. Air Huey Long’s political dynasty was defeated when his brother, the Governor, Air Earl H. Long, was beaten in the Democratic nomination for Governor by Air Sam H. Jones, who promised to regain millions of dollars which Long office-holders allegedly stole from the Louisiana State funds A total of 3500 National Guards, armed with machine-guns, patrolled the streets during the balloting.
