Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. July 28. That there was not unanimity among ■rrowers of apples and pears regarding control of local marketing by the Government was disclosed at to-day s session of tire Auckland provincial, annual conference of the Fruitgrowers Federation. Divergent views wero expressed in 25 remits relating to tins matter, which is on the order paper ot the Dominion conference to bo held m August, and these remits were considered to-day. ... i After a lengthy discussion it was decided, on a majority vote, that if the Government intimated its intention ol marketing apples and pears based on production costs a referendum of growers be taken.
