HARVEST THANKSGIVING

A sum of between £6O and £7O constituted the offertories at the Woodville Methodist- Church on Sunday, when the harvest thanksgiving services were held. Further amounts are to come in. The excellent response fully justified the decision of the officials to substitute straight-out giving in lieu of the usual bazaar.

Helpful services were conducted by Rev. T. Coats worth. The church was tastefully decorated, and there was a very good display of fruit and vegetables, and emblematic harvest scenes. Airs A. Smith was soloist, and Aliss L. Bowman presided at the organ. The discourses were appreciated, and the singing was of a hearty nature. Gifts of produce have been forwarded to the Methodist Orphanage.
