TRAGIC ACCIDENT.

-NEW PLYMOUTH, 51 arch 27. Thrown from a motor-lorry on EyU la Road at Motunui yesterday afternoon, Miss Annie Elizabeth Wcbl>. aged "27, the daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Webb, of Tikorangi, was killed intantlv.

She was a member of a party which visited Motunui Beach for a swim, and was returning in a motor-lorry driven by Mr Arthur Webb, a brother of the voting woman. She apparently stood up in the back of the lorry and leaned over with the intention of speaking to someone in the cab. She missed her footing and was thrown over the side of the lorry on to the road, the hack wheel of the lorry passing over her chest and head, killing her instantly.
