CROQUET.
SILVER BUTTONS PLAY. Mrs Campbell (Manawatu) was the winner of the A grade (at the Manawatu green) in the Manawatu Croquet Association’s Silver Button matches, which concluded yesterday. Mrs Campbell played beautiful croquet throughout, making all-round breaks in several of the games and winning all five.
In the B grade (at Northern), Mrs Dewe (Fcilding) was the winner, also being victorious in all her games. Mrs Southgate (Otaki) won the C grade, at Takaro. Additional results are:
A grade.—Mrs Campbell beat Mrs Wood. 26—9; Mrs Wood boat Mrs Bryant. 26 —19; Mrs Petrie beat Mrs H01me5.222;6 —2; Mrs Bryant won from Mrs Nicholson bv default; Mrs Holmes won from Mrs Nicholson by default.
B grade.—Mrs Gould beat Mrs Garner. 2 C —22; Mrs Dewe boat Mrs Cobb, 26—15. C grade.—Mrs Southgate boat Mrs Kenyon. 26 —IS; Mrs Kenyon beat Mrs Scliaw, 26 —8.
