CROQUET MATCH.
An inter-club croquet match between Woodvilie and Pa.hiatua was played on the local courts on Saturday afternoon, AYoodvillc being successful. The visitors were welcomed by Mrs J. Halpin and "rs AV. A. Citladiui responded. Pahiatua extended an invitation for a return match next Saturday. Details of the games are as follow. AYoodville heiug mentioned first: —Al carl ain cs Halpin and C. Smith heat Airs Boyd and Aliss Ruther'urd. 16 —14; Alcsd ames Schaw and AA hi Ilians heat Mesdames Staples and Rankin. 16—6; Mesdames Halpin and Smith heat Mesdames O'Styko and Harrison, j 7 —JO; Mesdames AleCarthy and AVh’te lost to Alesdames Boyd and Cittadini, 14 —26.
