MAN’S ARM IN SHARK.

A MIAMI MYSTERY. NEW YORK, Aug. 22. The Miami police are facing a mystery reminiscent of the famous Sydney case. A fisherman caught a 10ft shark in the Gulf Stream and a man’s arm was found in its stomach, severed between the elbow, and the shoulder. A piece of rope was attached to the wrist and forearm. The police are convinced that the shark did not sever the arm. It is estimated that the arm had been in the shark for two days. The manicured fingernails indicate that it is not a labourer’s arm. The police suspect murder.

The case referred to is'one that occurred a few years ago when a shark in the Sydney Aquarium disgorged a human arm which led to sensational police proceedings.
