PAHIATUA. April 21. Mrs L. T. Russell presided over a large attendance of delegates at the annual meeting of the Bush Basketball Association. The balance-sheet revealed a credit of £3O Bs. Officers were elected as follow: President, Mrs, L. T. Russell; auditor, Mr P. R. Boagcy; selector. Mrs Russell; secretary, Mr R. McCullough; general committee, Mcsdamcfi L. T. Russell, Taylor, Paget, A. Mills and G. Jones. Mrs G. H. Smith and Mr J. G. Chambers were elected honorary life members. The Swifts Club change of name to Star was approved. The l’apatawa Club was graded from junior to senior. It was decided to start the season with an open senior tournament (with play limited to three minutes). In the finals of the Pahiatua School lonnis club’s championship, the following wore the winnersßoys’ championship singles: Jack Beales. Girls’ singles: Valerie Noble, Boys’ handicap doubles: Alex Macrae and Jack Beales. Girls’ doubles: May Britland and Valerie Noble. Mixed handicap doubles: Valerie Noble and Douglas Bicknell.
